CHEC offers financing to residential members for the purchase of high-efficiency appliances and weatherization projects.

Qualifying members can borrow up to $6,000 to help fund the purchase of an approved appliance or to implement a weatherization project for an existing Hatteras Island home. With a low interest rate of 5%, our loan program can help you save more on your electric bill each month by making your home more energy efficient.

Applicants must own their home, have had service for two years and be in good standing with the cooperative.

• Central AC ≥ SEER 15
• Heat Pump Water Heater
• Ground Source Heat Pump
• Solar Water Heater
• Replacement Windows
• Mobile Home Roof-overs

• Duct Repair/Replacement
